This is a strange eating competition that has attracted the international interest.
The competition is simple and is happening every Mid June in rural Marshwood, Dorset in England. The contestants have to consume as many nettles as their stomach can bear in one hour and the winner will be judged by the total length of stalks stripped of their leaves.
Fancy your own chance of winning? The current world record of nettles consumed stands at a sobering 24 m (76 foot)!
The sight of blackened tongues, pallid complexion, chomping through piles of raw green stuff — a merriment event that is as good-natured as it is hotly contested though not for the queasy stomach!

Hi, nice to see you here!
Thanks.
