Travelling somewhere differently
Be daring – When we think of travel or going on holiday we all think of the very ordinary places that people go to every year, such as Spain or Greece etc. But surely there has to be more to going on holiday than just your average holiday destinations. Yes it is nice to go on holiday once a year after saving up all your hard earned money that you have been saving for your last holiday, but why not do something different this year and visit some places that you never knew existed.
Australia and the wave
In Australia there is something called the Wave Rock, Hyden in Australia the reason it is called this is because it actually looks like a massive wave in the ocean and is about to crash down on everything in its path, the wave rock is in the Hyden Wildlife park which is a nature reserve and around 160 hectares. The wave as it is called is 47ft high and is 350ft long, forming the north side and is a solitary hill and is called Hyden Rock. East-southeast of Western Australia in Perth and is 3km from Hyden which is a small town 3km east of it.
Florence Italy
Villa Demidoff – Another place you could visit is Villa Demidoff which is north and is 7 miles from Florence, but you are thinking to yourself what is so unusual about going there? Well, when you see this amazing piece of sculpture you will understand why.
An amazing sight to behold
In the gardens of Villa Medici at Pratolino is a man carved out of stone. The man and the landscape are one with each other he has such smooth looking skin and just as you start to see him completely he becomes part of the mountain again.
Alexander the Great
But all is not what it seems – This figure is Atlas and stands a huge 35 foot tall, it was sculpted by democrats to honour Alexander the Great which is why he shaped a man out of Mount Athos. There is such great attention to detail, with the figure having a shaggy beard which are stalactites. You can also see him crushing a monster who has water gushing from its mouth into a pond.

Is a building – But this isn’t just any ordinary sculpture it just so happens to be a building as well. There are grottoes which have their walls covered in pearls, shells, corals and crystals, there are pictures of men with muscles mining for precious ores. You do not just go into the giant’s belly you also go deep into the earth’s belly. It has two fountains which work one of these portrays Thetis and in the head of this man is a chamber which a small orchestra will fit in.
