I have gone to the Seychelles many a times with my close friends. The Seychelles is a 115 island country which is famous for having some of the beautiful beaches which would give you peace of mind and is refreshing as well. This is one of the most amazing places to visit during the holidays. Let’s look at the things you can do in the Seychelles:
Mahe is the largest island in the Seychelles. The most beautiful beach of this island is Anse Major in the north-west. This place is accessible by foot or by fishing boat. It has one hour distance by walk from the bus stop at La Scala (Bel Ombre). You can enjoy snorkeling here which is one of the best around. You can enjoy swimming here with your belongings on the safe hands with the tourist police as they will take a very good care of them.
Take a hike
From the Seychelles Mountain in the North to Police Bay in the South, almost the whole Mahe is covered in lush green. Fruit birds and tropic birds patrolling over Jurassic forest, reaches to the 2,700 ft peak of Morne, which is Mahe’s tallest peak.If you want to explore this place, take a half-day hike along one of the many trails within the Morne Seychellois National Park.
Smaller granitic islands of La Digue and Praslin can be easily seen from Mahe that are lying next to each other 25 miles to the North. You can reach Praslin by using the speedy Cat Cocos ferry which would take only 45 minutes to reach and a cargo schooner to reach directly to La Digue which would take only three hours. The Beaches on La Digue are more mesmerizing than on Mahe. You can even rent the bikes as well as the pedal to Grande Anse. You may also find an endangered bird, the Seychelles’ paradise – flycatcher of which the locals there are very proud.
The Seychelles’ Capital
The Seychelles’ capital is Victoria. It is a tiny destination which you can explore it in two hour. This pleasant stroll in Victoria would include the islands’ Natural History Museum, which is in itself a miniature of Big Ben, which is the replica of London’s Little Ben that is silver painted. Except on Saturday mornings, the streets are not at all busy and you can also have samosas from the nearby shop.In the market outside, you will find fresh fish like grouper, sharks, red snappers, mackerel and eagle rays. You will also find vegetables, fruits and spices in other shops.
It is one of the beautiful islands of the world which was brought for posterity by British naturalist Christopher Cadbury in 1973. You will find birds of varied species here than on any other islands even if you combine all together. Daily boat trips are even available here.
It is located on the north-west of Mahe. You can have a relaxed time at this bay.
