“Rimini is always a good destination for the vacation” one of my trusted friend assured me few years ago.
I didn’t pay much attention to that also because I was on one of my world round trip and at that time I was somewhere in Central America, I think probably in Nicaragua.
When I finally went back home (Italy) I remember that comment of my trusted friend and I thought to give it a go and have a look to Rimini, spending there few days. I have fortunate and seen many places on this planet, but yeah my friend was probably right, Rimini and the area around it it’s really a cool place for many reason and I ll try to share them with you.
Rimini is a city known in all Europe for the great hospitality that treats tourist in a special way, infact many of them they keep going to Rimini year after year. Rimini is “capital” of the Riviera Romagnola and has an international reputation to be an important destination for the vacation. It is famous not only for his very lively nightlife but also for his important history, in fact the city was founded by the romans in the 268 a.C., and for a long period it has been an important point for the communication between north and south of Italy and a gateway from Rome to the rest of Europe. Rimini still preserve the rest of the roman emperor that built an important monument like the Arco d’Augusto, Ponte Tiberio, and anfiteatro Romano. During the Renaissance period artist like Piero della Francesca, Leon Battista Alberti, Matteo de Pasti e Roberto Valturio they have distinguished and in this same period was built the tempio Malatestiano. So we can see that Rimini is a city of entertainment but even with a lot of culture and history.
Why do people choose Rimini for their vacations? Because Rimini offer everything for every person. First of all people are attracted from Rimini for his hospitality, they perceive the warmth and the love typical of the Italian and in particular if the people from Rimini.
Food
Rimini is a perfect place to find a very typical food and to try a different variety of tastes which found origin in the ancient Renaissance with an inland area called “Malatesta region”. This area offer a season’s food with the typical olive oil, or a special wine famous in all Italy. You can try the best product of Rimini in the festival event that all the year are organized in the city. In Rimini the program offers a lot of event like festival, concert, exhibition, sport’s event, fashion’s event and more.
Sport and Activities
In Rimini you can spend also a active vacations and actually this is what I have enjoyed the most. Here you can practice every kind of sport in the beach like football, beach tennis, volleyball and more or you can play in a green area like in the Rimini Verucchio Golf Club or in the Riviera Golf Resort in San Giovanni in Marignano. If you, like me, love ciclying here you can finde good opportunities to know the wonderful hill of Rimini and to contemplate the wonderful view and to breathe the air clean and clear. In Rimini you will find also a Spa located in a green space or on the beach were you can regenerate your body and you mind with healthy activities and special treatment.
