The idea of staying in luxury hotels or resorts is always exciting, especially if it is your first time. Unlike inns and budget hotels, staff that speaks several languages, 24 hours room service, secured parking, excellent food and spa are just some of the main features that you can expect and that every luxury hotel should have.
From decor to furniture and other amenities, the features in a luxury hotel should be high level, superior quality and definitely amazing.
This is an absolute imperative. Hotels, whether we’re talking about a simple Bed and breakfast or about five stars resort, should uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, offering clean public spaces, bathrooms, bedrooms and other spaces. Although it is an important initiative, recycling shouldn’t affect the lack of hygiene.
Luxury hotel or resort should have well-trained and experienced staff that is willing and able to make your stay delightful. Staff should be discreet, but right there for you 24 hours a day, even before you realize that you need them.
Safe in the room
Almost every hotel has a safe in the room, but a socket in it will make the safe luxurious. Think about it, while at the beach or by the pool you can charge your devices without worrying about their safety.
Who charges for the internet these days and how is that still a thing? Paying hundreds of dollars on a hotel room then finding out that you have to pay an additional $ 20 per day just to check the email will surely make you mad. Luxury hotels should not make the mistake of charging for Internet access.
Outlets next to the bed
Given that almost every person on the planet is attached to their Smartphone these days, it is frustrating to have to plug the charger into a socket in the bathroom, because there isn’t one anywhere close to the bed. Also, you do not want to pull out pieces of furniture and unplug things like the clock or a lamp in order to charge your phone.
Universal electrical adapters
Most travellers carry their universal adapters with them, but sometimes adapters can be broken, lost or forgotten. Luxury hotels tend to make your stay pleasurable, in order to do so they should provide electrical adapters in every room.
Recreation and spa
If you’re on vacation with your family or you are just trying to relax after a day of shopping and sightseeing, it would be nice if your hotel has a gym, hot tub, spa or sauna to help you and your family to relax and recharge your batteries.
Spa centre, outdoor swimming pool, pleasant interior of the hotel and professional staff, are main conditions that need to be fulfilled if you want to have a proper holiday. So, outdoor swimming pool in a luxury hotel is a must. Try lavish beach chairs and elegant shade sail posts to provide the shade for the guests and pool toys for the youngest should be placed by the pool.
If you’ve paid a few hundred dollars per night for a room, you wouldn’t want to get up from the bed to close the shades on your windows, control the room temperature, or to turn off the lights in the bathroom.
Smells trigger memories. Upon entering the hotel and hotel room, smell of the property will leave a big impact on your first impression. Nice smell influences your perception of the cleanliness and quality of the hotel.
You need to have an option to use more than one towel during your stay in luxury hotel, especially if it is located in tropical and humid areas.
When packing, we all try to avoid carrying bulky items like a hair dryer. Luxury hotel management should think about that and should provide one. Hair dryer should be provided in the room and not in the lobby, because it isn’t fun to go a few floors down with a soaking wet hair just to borrow one.
When you visit a new location, you want to experience all the best it has to offer and that includes the food, as well. One of the advantages of staying in the luxury hotel is that the best food is already at your fingertips. You don’t have to travel around town in search for a good restaurant; all you have to do, in order to enjoy excellent food, is to go couple floors down.
At the end of the day all you need is a good night sleep and that will only be possible if your bed is of good quality, clean, well maintained, well positioned and well designed.
No matter how expensive the hotel is, in the absence of some of these features it should not be called “luxury”.
