The internet and Smartphone apps have made travel more convenient than ever before. Here are a few of the best to help you stay on top of your life while on the road, and make your travels as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. All the below apps are available for free from the App Store and Google Play, and will help you to get the very best out of your travels.
Evernote

There’s nothing better for staying organised than having all your notes, clippings and ideas in one place, and Ever-note allows you to do just that. This is a digital workspace which allows you to take notes, track tasks and sync everything from all your devices to one place. You can also clip anything of interest from the web so you can easily refer to it while you work, and share and chat about your work with colleagues. It’s not limited to business, though: Evernote can help you to organise every aspect of your life, from keeping track of your flight times and issuing you reminders to giving you directions to your hotel. You can find suggestions for the top things to do in your destination, and create to-do lists to make sure you make the most of your trip.
The Montcalm App
The Montcalm App allows you to browse all The Montcalm Luxury Hotels, choosing the property and room type which is right for you by looking through image galleries, maps and lists of amenities for each one. You can then book your stay online, and view and edit your reservation right up until check-in. When you arrive, you can save time by checking in through the app; the same goes for checking out at the end of your stay. During your stay, you can stay up to date with Montcalm’s latest deals and offers through the app, via push notifications – meaning the Montcalm App can even help you save money on your stay. It can also help you decide how to spend your time, by offering lists of each hotel’s bars and restaurants, with something for everyone from relaxed eateries to elegant bars, and amenities like spas and gyms.
Hoot suite
Everyone knows that one of the most satisfying things about a brilliant international trip is bragging to all your mates about it on social media, and the perfect Instagram post or Facebook album can help you document your journey and preserve your memories for a lifetime. That being said, with so many different social media accounts to keep on top of, it’s easy to fall into the trap of spending more time glued to your screen than actually experiencing your destination – and that’s the last thing you want to do. Hoot suite is a great app which collates all your social media accounts into one dashboard, and allows you to schedule posts, so you can keep your friends back home green with envy while still making the most of the present moment where you are.
